The latest branch of the chain of modern outlets established by the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation all over the island was opened at an auspicious moment under the patronage of the State Minister of Fisheries, Mr. Piyal Nishantha de Silva, at No. 457 on the Colombo - Kandy main road, Kadawatha. (next to the petrol station in front of the Nikado building).
To provide a high-quality service to the customer, the Fisheries Corporation fish outlet in Kadawatha has been put into public ownership. Through this modern stall, the consumers have been facilitated to buy fish products including Maldives Fish and quality nutritious fish.
This event was graced by a Member of the Parliament from Badulla District, Mr. Sudarshana Denipitiya, The Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries, Mr. M.P.N.M Wickremasinghe, the additional secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries( Human resources development) Ms.Anusha Gokula Fernando and officials from Ceylon Fisheries Corporation including its Managing Director Mr.Suranga Hidallarachchi.
