* 3-Month Crash Program: Immediate actions to boost shrimp production within the next three months.
* Yearly Industry Calendar: A roadmap for coordinated efforts and aligned targets.
* NARA Research: Focus on sustainable and efficient aquaculture practices for Sri Lanka.
* Batticaloa Hatchery Revival: To increase local larvae/post-larvae availability and reduce import reliance.

The meeting emphasized collaborative efforts for a thriving and sustainable shrimp industry, contributing to national economic growth and community livelihoods.

The meeting was also attended by Private Secretary to the Minister Dr B. K. Kolita Kamal Jinadasa, Chairman NAQDA Mr. Kithsiri Dharmapriya, and Chairman NARA Dr Sanath Hettiarachchi.
