On 10-01-2024 at the Ministry, the Minister of Fisheries Douglas Devananda discussed with the officials of the ministry and NAQDA institute regarding the Strategic Plan prepared by the Ministry of Fisheries and National Aquatic Resources Development Authority on the instruction of the Minister to develop the Freshwater Fishing industry in 2024.
On 01-01-2024, Hon. Douglas Devananda Minister of Fisheries, participating as the Chief Guest of the inauguration ceremony held at the Ministry of Fisheries for the commence the office work for the new year.
Attending a function held on 2023-12-14 at the Boat Building Yard belonging to CEYNOR institute located at Mattakkuliya, Minister of Fisheries Douglas Devananda stated that the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) renders a great service to Sri Lanka.
