Newly appointed Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Ramalingam Chandrasekar assumed duties at the Fisheries Ministry on 19 November 2024, at a simple ceremony.
The sixth Officer Level Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Fisheries between India and Sri Lanka was held in Colombo on the 29th of October 2024.
