Addressing a number of challenges faced by the Sri Lankan shrimp export industry, the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources has introduced a new and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for shrimp re-exportation.
A significant meeting was held today at the Ministry of Fisheries between the Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic, and Ocean Resources, Ramalingam Chandrasekar, and the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Santosh Jha.
Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic Resources, and Ocean Development, Mr. Ramalingam Chandrasekar, said that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of tourists visiting the islands in the peninsula.
