At the end of February, the World Trade Organization’s (WTO), Trade Ministers’ Conference will be held, and a group of officials from the Ministry of Trade, including the Minister of Trade of our country Mr. Nalin Fernando will participate in it.
The Minister stated that the new Fisheries Act, which has amended all of the flaws of the existing Act, has been presented for the benefit of the fishermen in Sri Lanka and is intended to elevate the nation's fishing industry to an international level.
Minister of Fisheries Douglas Devananda engaged in an observation tour at Peliyagoda Fish Market Complex on 2024.02.11 and instructed the Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries Miss. Nayana Kumari Somarathne to provide solutions to the prevailing issues at the Fish Market Complex.
