Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Rathna Gamage, undertook an inspection tour of the Seeduwa area on 01st of December to personally inspect the damage caused to several major fish processing factories in Sri Lanka due to the recent floods.

Several areas in the Jaffna district have been hit by severe flooding due to the adverse weather conditions caused by the cyclone.
In the face of the flood disaster situation spreading across the country, the Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, Hon. Rathna Gamage, instructed the relevant sectors to deploy fishing boats immediately for rescue operations of civilians.
